Application of Eastland AAC Panels

With a wide range of applications, EASTLAND products are commonly used in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

They are the ideal option for exterior wall systems, interior wall systems, flooring systems, roofing systems, fencing systems and boundary wall systems of all types of buildings.

Eastland AAC external wall cladding system

The Eastland AAC external wall cladding system is anon-loadbearing wall cladding system for use in externaland internal wall applications and presents options for aventilated rainscreen facade or face sealed external wallsystem for multi residential apartments, commercial buildingsand residential homes.

The Eastland AAC Cladding system components includes50mm and 75mm reinforced AAC panels. The installer isrequired to supply battens / top hats, site mixed adhesiveand appropriately rated fasteners for the vertical and/orhorizontal support structure.

The Eastland AAC cladding panels are fixed into the building structure via Top Hat battens, which are in turnfixed to the stud frame members or at similar frequency forconcrete and masonry structures. For external wall systemsTop Hat battens shall provide a minimum cavity of 25mm width (subject to wind pressure loading), external to the weatherisation layer.

The base wall system structure behind the Eastland AAC Cladding System shall be designed to withstand projectspecific loads including wind loads and any other loadingrelevant to the application.

The external face of the base wall system structure / buildingframe shall be made weather tight using pliable membranesor rigid weather barriers to the manufacturer's detail. Pliablemembranes shall comply with AS4200.1 and be installedin accordance with AS4200.2. All weatherisation layersshall be suitable for project wind loads and must be airtight,watertight and flashed to ensure the wall system remainsweatherproof.

Top Hat and Fastener selection including frequency /spacing to secure the Eastland AAC Panels to the base wallsystem shall be conducted in accordance with the SystemPerformance section of this manual.

Low-Rise Residential Intertenancy Walls

The wall structures adjacent to the Eastland AAC Panels (shown above) shall be designed as loadbearing structures for each tenancy, separate from the other tenancy.

Eastland AAC Flooring Systems

The Eastland AAC Flooring system presents loadbearing suspended flooring systems for use in framed floor applicationsfor low-rise residential & multi-residential dwellings and light commercial applications where suspended flooring may berequired.

The Eastland AAC Flooring system components includes 50mm and 75mm reinforced AAC panels and Eastland AACAdhesive. The builder /instaler is required to supply framing and appropriately rated fasteners for the support structures for the Eastland AAC Floor panels.

The Eastland AAC Floor panels are fire rated, loadbearing panels and may be installed directly over structural floorframing with or without insulation and/or fire rated plasterboard ceiling systems beneath.

Eastland AAC Flooring delivers long-term durability and the solid feel of a concrete slab without the delays and mess of apoured concrete floor. Precast, reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC panels are fixed directly to either timber andsteel joists and are immediately ready for floor finishes.

Floor framing structures supporting Eastland AAC Panels shall be designed as loadbearing structures with suitable joistspacing to suit AAC floor panels plus loading and spanning requirements of the floor system.
